What is a Life Path Number?
Your Life Path Number is the central number in numerology, worked out from your date of birth. It is said to describe your natural strengths, tendencies, and the broad direction of your life. There are twelve possible results: the single digits 1 through 9, plus the three master numbers 11, 22, and 33. Pick your birth month, day, and year above and the calculator reduces the date and shows your number along with a short meaning — treat it as a lightweight prompt for reflection and fun rather than a prediction.
How to calculate your Life Path Number
Reduce the month, the day, and the four-digit year to a single digit each by adding their digits, then add those three results together and reduce once more. For example, a birthday of December 25, 1990: the month 12 reduces to 1 + 2 = 3; the day 25 reduces to 2 + 5 = 7; the year 1990 reduces to 1 + 9 + 9 + 0 = 19, then 1 + 9 = 10, then 1 + 0 = 1. Adding the three parts gives 3 + 7 + 1 = 11 — a master number, which is kept as-is — so the Life Path Number is 11.
What are master numbers?
The numbers 11, 22, and 33 are called master numbers. Whenever a reduction step lands on one of them — whether reducing the month, the day, the year, or the final total — it is kept rather than reduced to 2, 4, or 6. Master numbers are traditionally read as carrying extra intensity and potential: 11 the intuitive, 22 the master builder, and 33 the master teacher. Every other result reduces all the way down to a single digit from 1 to 9.
