Georgian alphabet reference chart
The 33 letters of the modern Georgian (Mkhedruli) alphabet in dictionary order, from Ani (ა) through Hae (ჰ), with each letter's traditional name, glyph, and romanization (e.g. Gani — გ (g)). Mkhedruli is unicameral — there is no upper and lower case — so each entry maps to exactly one glyph. Ejective (glottalized) consonants carry an apostrophe, as in K'ani კ (k'), to set them apart from their aspirated counterparts such as Kani ქ (k).

Learn the Georgian alphabet
Georgian is written in Mkhedruli, a unicameral alphabet of 33 letters, from Ani (ა) through Hae (ჰ). This page pairs a full reference chart — traditional name, glyph, and romanization — with a self-scoring flashcard quiz so you can drill letter recognition. It is useful for anyone learning to read Georgian, whether for language study, travel, or teaching. Each letter maps to a single glyph, and ejective consonants are marked with an apostrophe (for example K'ani კ (k')) so they stay distinct from their aspirated counterparts like Kani ქ (k).
How the quiz works
Each round shows one Georgian letter and four possible names. Pick the name you think matches; the quiz marks it right or wrong, reveals the correct answer with its romanization, and keeps a running score, current streak, and best streak for the session. Every Mkhedruli letter has a unique name, so the quiz keys on that name. Press Next letter for a new card or Reset score to start over. Every glyph and answer choice is selected with the Web Crypto API, entirely in your browser.
