One card, locked for the whole day
The first time you open this page each day, it draws a single card from the full 78-card deck — the 22 Major Arcana plus the 56 Minor Arcana across Wands, Cups, Swords, and Pentacles — with a fair Upright or Reversed orientation, and saves it to your browser. Every later visit that same calendar day shows the same card and its keyword meaning, so today's draw is a fixed point you can return to. At your local midnight the lock clears and the next visit draws a fresh card.
How it differs from the Tarot Card generator
The Random Tarot Card generator redraws a new card every time you press the button — great for quick single-card readings and games. This page deliberately has no “draw again”: the one card of the day is the whole point, which makes it a small daily ritual and a reason to come back tomorrow rather than reshuffle until you like the answer.
Fair random selection
The daily card is picked uniformly at random from the 78 cards, then flips a fair 50/50 Upright or Reversed orientation. Rangdom uses the browser's cryptographically secure randomness (Web Crypto), and the day-lock comes from saving that draw to local storage — it is not seeded from the date, so the card is genuinely random, just remembered for the day. If your browser blocks storage, the page still draws a card for the current session.
Using your card of the day
Read the card as a prompt: “What might this card be pointing to today?” Use it for journaling, a morning intention, or a reflection you revisit tonight.
